This interactive
coaching experience is designed with 3 Segments each lasting 8 weeks, with
an approximate 10-week break between SEGMENTS designed to relax the
schedule and also give participants an opportunity to practice and
integrate the concepts into daily life. Attendance at all 3 Segments is
required for participation. One
absence per Segment is permitted with no charge. The financial commitment for all 3
Segments is required. Exceptions can
be negotiated for unusual circumstances such as serious illness or
relocation.
SEGMENT ONE: THE PLEASENT LIFE: a life
that successfully pursues the positive emotions about the present, past and
future.
SEGMENT TWO: THE GOOD LIFE: using your
signature strengths to obtain abundant gratification in the main realms of
your life.
SEGMENT THREE: THE MEANINGFUL LIFE: using
your signature strengths and virtues in the service of something much
larger to obtain meaning, to forward knowledge, power, or goodness. A life
that does this is infused with meaning.

The ground breaking,
shape-shifting Science of Positive
Psychology started nine years ago. Now the entire world is
starting to hear about it through the endless efforts of two pioneers in
the field, Dr. Martin Seligman and Dr. Christopher Peterson. One of the
desired outcomes of positive Psychology is authentic happiness (Martin
Seligman's term for sustainable and reflective happiness.) The possibility
of sustainable authentic happiness is supported by solid empirical
evidence. The measures of positive emotion used by Seligman and Peterson
are measures, which are repeatable, stable across time, and consistent
across situations...the tools of a "respectable science", says
Martin Seligman. The primary emphasis in this approach to life satisfaction
is to identify and strengthen that which is already positive in each of us.
These strengths are called Signature Character Strengths. The hottest
finding in the New Positive Psychology is that happy people live longer. In
addition, empirical evidence reveals that authentically happy people:
- Have Fewer chronic
illnesses
- Have much lower depression
rates
- Have more friends
- Have more stable marriages
and closer families
- Are more creative and more
productive at work
- Give more generously to
community causes and organizations
Positive Psychology
offers a pathway to sustainable happiness by suggesting that, "rather
than fixating on what is wrong, what is missing, what we have not been
given or have not achieved, we instead focus on what is right, {what isn't
lost}, what is already working." The Science of Positive Psychology
emphasizes health rather than pathology." What would happen if you
made a choice to do less fixing and decided instead to build on
strength?"

I invite you on the journey.
